Commissioned funding

Commissioning is different to other Flexible and Structured Fund opportunities in that the Commissioner (CITB) demonstrates the evidence of need and is looking for applications to outline how applicants can deliver a project that meets the commission.

The Commissioner (CITB) outlines the amount of funding available, along with outcomes required.

Commissions are published within Fund Options and details of current commissions, including application windows, eligibility criteria and guidance notes can be found in their respective fund option page.

Each window contains commissioned opportunities across the fund options, and within each funding window, CITB has committed £1m to careers, £1m to future skills, and £1m to training and development.

Commissions are invitation-only - if you are interested in a commission, you need to request an invitation to join.

Collaboration

Many commissioned opportunities are only open to collaborations of organisations. If you don’t have eligible partners, or are open to engaging with more, CITB can help you find them. All you have to do is register your interest in a collaboration.

CITB runs an online workspace for commissioned opportunities, allowing you to link with other potential applicants and join discussion groups.

This an invitation-only - if you are interested in a commission and want to be invited to join, please contact funding@citb.co.uk
