Local events & training supporting local companies
The Joint Investment Strategy (JIS), funded by CITB and the local council in Nottingham, aims to improve growth in the construction industry by developing skills for local people.
Training Courses in Leadership and Management (book with Nathan Wall)
A range of Leadership and Management courses are now available until June 2017 (see table below) with full JIS funding subject to companies meeting the eligibility criteria.
Breakfast Events (follow links in table below to book on line)
Free events supported by major companies with local projects. These events will help you to improve your chances of winning new work on major projects by providing a better understanding of how major businesses operate and how to write better bids. You will also find out what is planned in your area and network with other local businesses.
Places are limited so early booking is essential.
The breakfast events are open to all local construction related businesses.
To qualify for training:
- Companies must employ fewer than 250 employees (not part of a larger group employing more than 250 Full-Time Equivalant (FTE) employees).
- You must be based in Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham or Nottinghamshire or an employee that can prove their residency there
Employers must be registered with CITB (or confirm Levy registration) and be in the scope of CITB. Each company can send a maximum of two participants to one training course or one participant to two separate training courses.
