The construction industry will face skills shortages in some key areas if employers can’t access migrant workers through the new Points Based Immigration System (PBIS), established in the wake of the UK’s departure from the European Union at the end of last year. For this reason, CITB’s fourth annual study on migration in the UK’s construction sector is perhaps our most important so far.
