The SAS allows contractors to support and benefit from apprentices, and for apprentices to gain the qualifications and experience to work in the construction industry.
This collaborative venture operates on a not-for-profit basis, across the construction sector in W.Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire & the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. It has been established in partnership with Hampshire County Council, Surrey County Council, Miller Construction Osborne, and iESE, and forms part of an emerging national network of shared apprenticeship programme that is part-funded by CITB.
“Providing training and employment opportunities for our local communities is of vital importance to us as a Main Contractor but also to our clients, public and private sector alike. CoTrain is a great solution, giving the flexibility we need right through our supply chain.”
Chris Harrison, Programme Director, Miller Construction
“Osborne is delighted to have CoTrain as a Partner helping realise apprenticeships across all our sites.”
Guy Dawes, Framework Manager, Osbourne
