The National Occupational Standards (NOS) are freely available in PDF format on the NOS Database, and in the Search area type in the standard you would like, e.g. COSVR641. Please be aware that ‘L’ at the end of the title (e.g. COSVR641L) is an old version.  The Recommended Qualification Structure (RQS) will contain the list of standards you will need for the occupation. From the 'Suites of National Occupational Standards' please click on the occupation you are interested in.

You can also email standards.qualifications@citb.co.uk and request the NOS you require, although it could take up to 10 working days before you receive the NOS.

For Awarding organisations requiring units, TQT form(s) and NVQ Structure(s) to offer a qualification(s), or for anyone requiring units, i.e. to complete a business case, please complete this QS application form and forward to standards.qualifications@citb.co.uk (A link to the Word document appears at the bottom of the page, on the left-hand side.)

For anyone else requiring units please email standards.qualifications@citb.co.uk with the occupation’s name and the reason for your request.

NVQ Structures are available in PDF format. From Suites of National Occupational Standards click on the occupation of your choice and the NVQ structures are towards the end of the page.
