BuildForce – promoting careers in construction

1 Day Training Events:             24 and 25 November 2015

Location:
Kings Cross Skills Centre, London

The BuildForce programme has been created for those leaving the Armed Forces who are considering a career in construction and the built environment.

The construction industry offers a vast range of exciting, challenging career opportunities in a sector that is changing and growing fast. With many different entry routes into a career in construction, BuildForce can help those leaving the Armed Forces take the next steps.

With hundreds of roles to consider the BuildForce team can provide advice on the options available. Work placements form a key part of the BuildForce programme which may lead to permanent jobs in the construction and civil engineering sector. Individuals will be matched to opportunities on offer from employers most suited to their skill-set and experience.

BuildForce is a collaborative employer-led partnership that has been established to deliver industry awareness events and a work placement brokerage service which supports construction employers to more easily recruit from the Armed Forces.

If you are an employer and would like to get involved:

Employer partners include Carillion, Lend Lease, Morgan Sindall, Crossrail and Wilson James, together with their supply chains. The lead delivery partner for BuildForce is Construction Youth Trust in conjunction with the Career Transition Partnership and CITB.
