Bathroom Installer - Install Fitted Furniture (FI001B)

You must be able to:

  • comply with the contract information to install bathroom units to the required specification by:

    • demonstrating work skills to:

    • measure

    • mark out

    • position

    • fit

    • secure

    • finish

    • repair and maintain

  • remove existing units and fitments ensuring the space is in the best possible condition for the new bathroom installation

  • prepare the following bathroom items to work instructions:

    • base and wall units

    • worktops, including cutouts for basins and taps

    • encasement of cisterns and heat-producing appliances such as water boilers and hot tanks

    • mouldings including internal and external corners by scribing, mitring and fixing

    • fixing of wall panels

    • waterproofing and tanking

    • sealing of exposed areas to ingress of moisture

  • install the following bathroom items to work instructions:

    • base and wall units

    • worktops, including cut outs for basins and taps

    • encasement of cisterns and heat-producing appliances such as water boilers and hot tanks

    • moulding including internal and external corners by scribing, mitring and fixing

    • wall panelling

    • waterproofing and tanking
