how to carry out a pre-fit inspection to ensure that all bedroom units and fitments can be installed with the required methods and techniques
how to assemble fitted bedroom furniture sequentially for the required fit and finish
the basic principles of carpentry which can be used when installing bedroom furniture which include:
the difference between natural and manufactured materials and how they should be handled accordingly
the types of adhesives that can be used depending on the material you are applying them to
the different types of fixing methods
the manufacturers specifications
how to install framework including boxing and boarding
how to scribe, mitre and fix mouldings including internal and external corners
how to fix peninsular and island dresser unit arrangements
the importance of sequencing when positioning of units and systems
the needs of other occupations and trades to prepare a space for a new installation including those associated with the removal of an existing bedroom that are part of the remedial work and make good activities
the needs of other occupations and trades associated with the process of a new bedroom installation
how resources should be used and how any problems associated with the resources are reported in relation to:
