Senior members of the construction industry are being invited to apply to join Wales’ Nation Council for the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB).
One vacancy is available for experienced individuals with a construction-related background to play a crucial role in improving the future of UK construction.
Mark Bodger, Partnerships Director at CITB Wales, said: “This is a chance to make a real difference in the skills system in Wales and to CITB’s strategic direction.
“CITB’s Nation Councils are led by industry, for industry – CITB Wales’ council members offer great insight based on their construction expertise. The Nation Councils are a vital link between CITB and industry.
“We would be delighted to hear from any senior construction industry professionals who believe they can help CITB with its efficiency and effectiveness plans.”
Last year, as part of its new governance structure, CITB created three Nation Councils – one each for Scotland, England and Wales. Council members have an important role in supporting the strategic leadership of the CITB Board by providing insight into industry challenges and acting as a sounding board for the Trustees.
