CISRS Basic Access System Erector (BASE)

This five-day course is for non-scaffolders who may have to erect, alter and dismantle simple system scaffold structures within restricted environments. You will train in the Cuplok, Kwikstage and Ringlok scaffolding systems.

Course content

The course includes:

  • Erecting independent scaffolds with:

    • Return and platform extension brackets

    • Loading bays (hop-ups) 

    • Ladder and stair access to a maximum height of six metres using the approved system.

  • Cuplok, Kwikstage and Ringlok scaffolding systems.

Classroom-based theory and practical exercises

Written and practical tests

What you get

CISRS Basic Access System Erector (BASE) Card, which we will apply for on your behalf

Entry requirements

  1. CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test passed within the last 23 months, or an accepted exemption.

  2. Comfortable working at heights.

  3. Ability to work well in a team.

  4. Good spoken and written English.

  5. Valid form of ID. See accepted forms of ID.
