Course content

The course includes:

  • ‘The 4 Cs': communications, cooperation, coordination and competency

  • Role and responsibilities of a temporary works coordinator

  • Best Practice for Temporary Structures on Building Sites (BS5975)

  • Statutory aspects of temporary works

  • Risk assessments and method statements

  • Management of the temporary works process.

Teaching and assessment

Classroom-based discussion, case studies, group work and presentations

You will need to attend the full two-day course as per Site Safety Plus attendance rules

CITB renewable 5-year Site Safety Plus certificate

Entry requirements

  1. Current or future Temporary Works Supervisor.

  2. Good spoken and written English.

  3. Valid form of ID. See accepted forms of ID.
