Teaching and assessment
8 weeks teaching over 18-24 months. This is split into blocks of 1 or 2 weeks, with 3 months of site experience between.
When the college course is complete, there are 6 further months of site experience before the final assessment.
Week 1 to 2: College induction
Week 3: Part 1A
Weeks 4 to 5: Part 1B
Week 6: Part 2A
Weeks 7 to 8: Part 2B
Week 9: Final assessment
Regular assessment by:
Written and practical assessments
Verbal questioning and presentation
Multiple-choice testing
College and site-based activity journals
Entry requirements
Academic requirements:
There are no formal academic requirements for this course.
General requirements:
Moderate level of physical fitness. Contact us if you’re not sure you meet requirements.
Comfortable wearing PPR/RPE.
Able to do independent research.
Able to work to deadline.
Valid form of ID. See accepted forms of ID.
