This one-day Site Safety Plus course is suitable for staff with management or supervisory responsibilities. It teaches the basic environmental knowledge that subcontractors need to show to major contractors.

Course content

The course includes:

  • The environment and why it matters

  • Best practice techniques and legal compliance

  • Environmental management systems

  • Waste management

  • Good neighbour practices, including communication and managing statutory nuisance

  • Archaeology and heritage

  • Energy and resources

  • Being a responsible contractor.

Teaching and assessment

Classroom-based group work and discussion, case studies and presentations

Multiple-choice exam

You must attend all seven hours as per the Site Safety Plus attendance requirements
