Project summary
This project will test the demand for New Entrants and Existing Labourers enrolling and completing a 4-6 week Training Programme, allowing CITB to assess the feasibility, practicality and potential impact before determining next steps beneficial to the construction industry. This will contribute to the overall intervention to support urgent training and upskilling needs for the delivery of housing developments. The Training Programme is aimed at individuals looking to gain skills and knowledge needed to work as specialist labourers in the following homebuilding occupations:
Groundworks
Brickwork
Drylining
Timber Frame Erection
Expected output
The Homebuilding Access Training will be delivered to 50 Learners in at least one of the four priority homebuilding occupations listed above. The project is targeted to achieve delivery to 15 New Entrants and 35 Existing Labourers aged 18 years and above.
