New Grants Scheme from 1 April 2018

From April 2018, our Grants Scheme will be changing what it supports, simplifying its processes and providing greater support to help industry deal with skills gaps and shortages. 

You can claim grants for individuals on approved apprenticeships at Levels 2 and 3, and higher apprenticeships in England, Wales and Scotland.

We pay grants for the achievement of approved short duration courses that last from 3 hours to 29 days.

We pay grants for the achievement of CITB approved plant training courses and qualifications. These include: specific plant-related VQ units as well as theory and practical testing.

We pay grants for attending and achieving approved, higher level qualifications that are focused on core construction skills needed across the industry. These  include: HNCs and HNDs, degrees and post-graduate qualifications.

We pay grants for the achievement of approved short-period qualifications that are focused on the core construction skills needed across the industry. These include NVQ and SVQ Levels 2 and above, as well as several other qualifications.
