This two-day course teaches confidence to senior management and those who engage with contractors.
It is designed for those on site with managerial responsibility for temporary works.
You will get a CITB renewable Site Safety Plus Certificate for passing the course.

Course content
The course includes:
- ‘The 4 Cs': communications, cooperation, coordination and competency
- Role and responsibilities of a temporary works coordinator
- Best Practice for Temporary Structures on Building Sites (BS5975)
- Statutory aspects of temporary works
- Risk assessments and method statements
- Management of the temporary works process.
Teaching and assessment
Classroom-based discussion, case studies, group work and presentations
You will need to attend the full two-day course as per Site Safety Plus attendance rules

- Good spoken and written English.

Technical requirements for remote courses
- Delegates attending remote courses must have sufficient IT skills to fully participate.
- Delegates must have a webcam-enabled PC or laptop that meets the following minimum system requirements:
Minimum PC system requirements:
- Operating system: Windows 7, 8, 8.1, or 10 (not Windows RT or S)
- Processor: Pentium (2009) / Core i3 2 GHz or equivalent
- Memory: 2GB
- Disk space: At least 10GB free recommended
- Screen resolution: 1024 x 768 or greater
- Graphics: Any Direct3D 9 compatible, 128MB
- Internet: Broadband internet connection required for installation, updates, web media and links.
- Other: Microsoft Internet Explorer 11. Adobe Reader and Microsoft PowerPoint are required to view some content.
The subscription content can be viewed online in a web browser or in a dedicated viewer app for one of the following platforms:
