Have you registered yet for the next CITB Skills & Training Conference?
Calling all registered employers and training providers – the next CITB Skills & Training Conference is just a few weeks away!
The event, entitled ‘Constructing Skills’ takes place on 19 November 2025 at DoubleTree at Stadium MK in Milton Keynes.
As ever, the CITB Skills & Training Conference is free to attend and includes a wide range of workshops and sessions for attendees from across the construction industry.
The conference offers registered employers the chance to learn about hot topics like the Building Safety Act and the Procurement Act, as well as providing the opportunity to benefit from one-to-one support on accessing CITB funding and services.
Employers can pick workshops that are most relevant to them and meet the CITB Executive team. CITB advisers and colleagues from industry federations, training groups and training providers are on hand to provide one-to-one advice.
Training providers are critically important to the construction industry and CITB wants to work in partnership with them to address skills shortages. Find out how CITB’s provider network could help businesses to train and support more construction companies.
In addition to facilitated networking and one-to-one sessions - where attendees can build connections with fellow professionals within the industry – there are a range of workshops to join, including:
Construction Skills Mission Board: The role of the Construction Skills Mission Board is to shape a demand-led construction skills system. This session provides an overview of strategic objectives and highlights how industry can meet future skills demand.
A ‘how to’ Guide for Construction Companies: Designed specifically for construction companies, this session offers a clear and practical guide to navigating key areas of workforce development. We'll break down the Apprenticeship Levy, explore available grants, highlight the benefits of Employer Networks, and share strategies for attracting and supporting apprentices.
From Vision to Action: Launching CITB's Training Provider Network: This session introduces CITB's Training Provider Network (TPN), outlining the vision behind its creation, the phased rollout plan and how it will grow over time.
Building the Future: A sneak peak of CITB forecasting's view of what the future looks like for construction, the challenges and opportunities.
Supporting New Entrants into the Industry: Learn more about Go Construct, its audiences and find out key areas of development in the pipeline. Share your current ways of how you support new entrants into industry and establish ways of how Go Construct can support you to influence and inspire new entrants.
Sector Skills Plans - panel discussion: This session will focus on CITB's Sector Skills Plans - action plans designed to address the specific needs of different sectors within the construction industry. They are owned and shaped by construction industry stakeholders and will deliver clear actions and interventions to address the skills challenges in each sector. This session is hosted by Danny Clarke and features representatives from all the Sector Skills Plans.
In addition, conference attendees can also enjoy an optional tour of the SkillBuild National Final, which will be taking place at the same location. The SkillBuild National Final is the UK's biggest construction skills competition – bringing together the top apprentices and learners from across the country to compete head-to-head and be crowned the best in their trade.
