Project summary:

The project follows successful completion of a Phase 1 CITB funded project, which produced a high quality training resource focusing on working conditions, safety and risk assessment whilst excavating. This is Phase 2, the key objectives of which are to: develop a training film, which will focus on the subject matter of ‘Breaking Ground’, highlighting the dangers of working on the highway, and reviewing the latest H&S legislation. This will serve as a versatile resource that will support blended training.

Project summary:

The project will address the roofing industry training needs by bringing together the main roofing industry stakeholders, the 12 regional roof training groups and 11 major roofing trade associations to develop and roll out a basic competency programme.

The Basic Competency Programme represents manufacturers training derived from the minimum technical competencies and mapped to a Vocational Qualification and National Occupational Standards.

The project will address the challenge that the NDTG does not have a Demolition Manager Refresher Course in place to address the looming skills gap in our sector due to expiring CSCS cards.

In order to fill this gap, the demolition industry needs to develop a fit for purpose Demolition Manager Refresher Course. The course will be piloted to ensure that it fits the requirements of demolition managers in today’s construction Industry.
