The purpose of this standard is to give candidates who work in close proximity to mobile construction plant machinery an understanding of how to work safely around construction plant and machinery. This includes earthmoving and lifting appliances commonly found on construction sites and incorporates excavation awareness and traffic/vehicle movements within site activities.

This standard is designed to provide the skills and knowledge required to safely work at height in the reinforced concrete frame environment to include but not limited to proprietary and traditional formwork systems, and where precast concrete is to be used e.g. stair cores.
