In order to fill this gap, the demolition industry needs to develop a fit for purpose Demolition Manager Refresher Course. The course will be piloted to ensure that it fits the requirements of demolition managers in today’s construction Industry.

It will include a joint collaboration between the FMB, the National Trust, and Edwards Hart Consulting.
The objective is to increase the level of knowledge and understanding on how to apply energy efficient improvements to traditional and older buildings and building methods. These buildings represent more than 25% of the UK's building stock, amongst the mainstream general building sector.
After the project, the SQA L3 Award will be available to industry from the SQA website.

This project will lead to more efficient working and fewer customer disputes. This will be achieved through: half-day training workshops designed to keep small builders up to date with changing regulations and technical advances, raise standards, reduce defects to disseminate information about new techniques.

This facility will have a range of activities delivered on the premises, which will include SVQ level 2 roofing & tiling award, a new learning module developed in partnership with CITB and our local college. The Academy will be able to respond to training GMG registered apprentices at very short notice, ie when the weather is inclement and they are sent off site.
