The Academy will also provide NPORS (the National Plant Operations Registration Scheme) accredited training in Plant operations alongside Health and Safety qualifications by its own qualified and dedicated trainers.
They aim to provide NVQs in Plant operations as well as to increase the number of skilled operatives in the North East and Yorkshire regions.
They want to upskill Seymour CEC Operatives to become assessors and increase availability of on-site assessments. They will support other employers by extending this service to small, medium and large employers.

This is in response to the ambitious 2025 Construction Strategy which aims to achieve 33% reductions in costs and a 50% increase in efficiency through full BIM integration.
After the project, 14 short-duration e-learning modules will be freely available to use by industry. BIM ambassadors will be upskilled to champion the use of BIM in construction roles and promote the modules. A BIM framework will be developed that will go on to inform CITB activity in identifying and standardising digital competencies.

An industry-specific app will be developed and made available to the sector to integrate back office functions with external sites. This will include all job functions from enquiry, and planning, to job completion.
After the project the BPL workforce will have the skills to implement productivity efficiencies using the developed app, which will be hosted on app stores to download.

After the project, 50 SMEs will be able to implement use of simple digital technologies in their business, making efficiencies and productivity gains. Training materials will be freely available to industry.
