In summer 2020 CITB announced that the Consensus process would be suspended, to allow us to focus efforts entirely on supporting industry through the impact of COVID-19. A one-year 2021 Levy Order for this year’s Levy assessments at reduced Levy rates was submitted to the Department for Education.
We’ve had clear feedback from industry that we should proceed with running Consensus this year and the CITB Board has unanimously confirmed the re-establishment of Consensus this summer.
We are now planning for Consensus to take place from 14 June-15 August 2021, to measure support for the Levy Order 2022-25.
In the lead up to Consensus, this spring we are consulting with employers on the draft Levy Proposals 2022-25 and seeking views on our plans to provide enhanced funding support for ten areas of industry need that have been identified through our evidence base and agreed with the three Nation Councils.
All Levy registered employers are invited to take part in consultation at www.citb.co.uk/levyconsultation
Consultation is open from 1 March-11 April 2021.
We also running a series of virtual employer events alongside consultation. Employers can register at www.citb.co.uk/spring2021events
