The full 5-day course for those who want to train as a telescopic handler - no experience needed.
If you pass the technical tests, we apply for the CPCS Trained Operator (red) card on your behalf.
Experienced but need a formal qualification? Consider the condensed 3-day course.
Course content
- Operate the machine for normal tasks
- Identify unsafe loads
- Routine servicing and maintenance
- Machine operation, parts, and maintenance required
- Effects of load, size, weight, gradients, and ground conditions
- Load, store, and transport representative materials
- Construction of pallets.
Teaching and assessment
- 4 days classroom learning and practical exercises
- 1-day CPCS technical tests.

- CITB HS&E test passed within the last two years, or the new CPCS Plant Operative Health, Safety and Environment Test - NOCN Job Cards
- Good spoken and written English
- Valid form of ID. See accepted forms of ID.
