A 2-day course for anybody who works with plant machinery.
Covers risk and safe working near other plant vehicles and/or obstructions, also excavation awareness and traffic/vehicle movements.
Course content
- Theory of excavator movements
- Quick hitch best practice
- Spoil characteristics
- Underground and overground services
- New Roads and Street Works: signing and guarding
- Working at height near excavations
- Safety signs and signals within vehicle movements
- A banksperson's role and responsibilities
- Code of Practice
- Manufacturers' instructions and guidance.
Teaching and assessment
2 days of classroom-based practical activities.
What you get
CITB National Construction College e-certificate available on request.
