CITB is to retain the National Construction Colleges at Bircham Newton, Norfolk and Inchinnan, Glasgow, whilst sale discussions with a training provider will continue for Erith.

Available specialist applied-skills programmes (SAP)

The specialist applied-skills programmes (SAP) are 18-month long new entrant training programmes. The programmes lead to a vocational qualification (NVQ/SVQ), and are considered by trade associations and employers as 'sector apprenticeships'.

Developing Leaders

The project will deliver a programme of leadership training to management teams, which will enable people to be more effective in their management roles and empower them to be a good role model for the Houlton way of doing business.

Infrastructure Development Programme

The project will develop a sustainable model for specialist infrastructure training provision, creating a structured framework that allows employees in the sector to develop the core skills that they require to operate in key roles in the sector

Demolition Manager Refresher Course

The project will address the challenge that the NDTG does not have a Demolition Manager Refresher Course in place to address the looming skills gap in our sector due to expiring CSCS cards.
