This one-day course is for all contractors, including subcontractors, main contractors and principal contractors.
You will learn about contractor responsibilities under the Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations 2015.
Those who complete the course will receive a CITB National Construction College Certificate.
Course content
The course includes:
• CDM 2015 overview and application
• Planning, managing and monitoring construction work
• Duty-holder responsibilities
• Conducting skill and resource assessments
• Following CDM Part 4 ‘General requirements for all construction sites’
• What to include in the construction phase plan and its requirements
• Engaging workers
• Health and safety requirements.

What you get

You will also gain an understanding of the following:
• The legal position of the contractor and principal contractors
• The roles of the client and designers
• Assessment requirements for knowledge, skills, experience and resources
• Project documentation requirements.
