Skills for a Sustainable Skyline Taskforce labour analysis

The Skills for a Sustainable Skyline Taskforce was established to identify and bridge skill gaps to ensure that Central London has a globally competitive, sustainable, commercial built environment.

It is a three-year project led by the City of London Corporation to boost the supply of skilled workers for sustainable buildings, bringing together employers, training providers and industry bodies from across the commercial built environment sector, as well as national and local government.

CSN Industry Outlook - 2023-2027

Although the UK economy is facing a recession in 2023, an extra 225,000 construction workers may be needed by 2027, according to the latest Construction Skills Network (CSN) report. The report provides insights into the UK construction economy and its future labour needs.
