Flexible and structured funds

Flexible and Structured funds invest in solutions that can be transferred from one employer to another, where there is an evidence base and an appropriate solution doesn’t exist, and where the need isn’t adequately met by other CITB funding, like the grants scheme.

  • Flexible Fund is for short projects, lasting up to 18 months.
  • Structured Fund is for longer projects, lasting from 18 months to five years

Each fund contains options in which industry is invited to identify an issue and propose a solution (project where CITB identifies an issue through its own evidence base, it may publish a commissioned opportunity within a fund option).

Request support to build a partnership or collaborate on a project.

As successful applicants receive levy funds to take forward projects for industry good, CITB will retain the IPR rights on funded projects. This enables CITB to ensure IPR created through levy funds reaches the widest possible audience through availability to all. Therefore the funds are a social investment and are not intended to be used for commercial exploitation.
